Memorial Day Weekend

Dad and Linda went camping over the weekend. Seth worked OT most of the weekend, so Issabella and I hung out at their campsite. The above pictures were from the weekend. They were taken on my phone.

Sunday night this is what she looked like. She was wiped out! She was awake and alert most of the time at the campground.

This was how she was all day today (5-31-10) She did not want to sleep at all during the day. She kept making silly faces at us. If she was not s0 darn cute I would be mad at her.

Back to Work

I started back to work on 5-24...only for eight days, then summer break. WOOT WOOT! My sister and Seth are watching Issabella while I am at work. I think about the little peanut all day and good thing I have pictures of her to look at. Seth brought her to school on Tuesday and showed her off to the students and teachers. I think she was well liked. :)

Seth will be bringing Chubs and her back to school next Thursday for the students last day. The students are pumped to meet Chubs.

Issabella and I will be doing our first 5K on June 6, at Lincoln Park Zoo. It should be interesting to see what my time will be. This is my first race since last October. Fun times will be had with Lisa, Logan, Sue, Casi, Issabella, and I. Oh and we will be eating at Mitchell's on Clybourn for breakfast...I am hungry just thinking about it.

Her is a picture of Issabella...

One Month...

Dear Issabella

Today you are one month old. You weigh 8lbs 4oz and are 21 1/4 in long. The doctor says you are a perfect little girl. We already knew that the moment you were placed on my chest and looked up and us. Everyday brings something new and exciting for your daddy and I. We love to listen to you coo and watch you sleep.
Here is what we remember about your first month...
*we are just starting to make you smile, you have always been a cheese making faces at us.
*your hair is so soft and is starting to fill in on top
*your socks never stay on your feet
*you like to hold my finger when I feed you
*daddy and you have a special bond and you like for him to rock you to sleep at night
*you love to take a bath and we love it too...you fall asleep so easy after one
*when you go to the bathroom you lift both of your legs up
*you keep one eye open during the day when we are trying to get you to take a nap...we call this your stink eye(the picture is of you and your stink eye was taken today, when I was trying to get you to take a nap)
*if we don't feed you fast enough you get mad and shake your head
*from the first night we brought you home you slept 4 hours, you are now up to sleeping around 5-6 hours at night before waking up
*you love to snuggle

We love you little peanut!
Love,
Mommy and Daddy

Bath Time and a Funny

She loves her bath time. We love it also. She falls asleep within a half hour. We have been giving her one every night. She just sits there and lets us poor water on her.

Her poor little head is too small for her car seat. So Aunt Jenn found these supports at Toys R Us. Well the box said to put them on the seat like they are in the picture. Seth and I could not do it...she looks so funny. We laughed so hard at it. We just stuff them on their sides next to the headrest and it works great!

Turkey Time

Dear Issabella,

When you were born...April 21, 2010, Daddy informed you that you were born on the opening day of turkey season. Your daddy just started turkey hunting four years ago. He has gotten a turkey every year and this year was no different. He was very happy to share his turkey pictures with you. He can't wait until you are older and can go out with him and hunt. Here are some pictures from your first turkey season.

Daddy's turkey weighed 24 lbs 11 oz.

The turkey's beard was not as long as his turkeys from the past years.

He shot his turkey across the ditch.

Daddy walking up to the truck from his turkey sweet spot.

One last picture of Aunt Casi holding you. You sure do like to be held.

Love,
Mommy

Ham and Apple Juice

I found this apple juice in the health food section at Kroger's. It tastes just like the juice from Einstein Bagel Co. in Chicago. Yummy

Here are some pictures of Issabella. She is two weeks old today. We love her more and more everyday!

She is really starting to be a ham when she is awake!

Walking With the Children...

Issabella and I went for a walk today. We took Chubs, who was not to thrilled to have someone else with us. He kept looking at her.

Bath time fun...the verdict is still out if she likes to take a bath.

This picture was taken on my phone and is not great...this is Issabella practicing her touchdown signal for when the Colts play.

Cami
